Does the toggle switch next to my living room thermostat control the temperature in each room of my manor, and why is it in this room?
The toggle switch located near the thermostat regulates power from the ceiling heat to an outlet that would operate an A/C unit, and has no other function. The switch needs to be up for heat and down to operate the A/C unit, if installed. The other rooms do not have provisions for an additional A/C unit as does the Living Room. For the ceiling radiant heat to work effectively for a particular room and the thermostat to accurately adjust temperatures, doors and windows must be shut to warm that room effectively. It is expensive and inefficient to try and heat other rooms by a single thermostat in that particular room that operates radiant (ceiling) heat.
